So that the P&C cater appropriately for this event, confirming your interest through the survey sent out on Connect (Fri 20/9) and class Whatsapp groups (during the T3/T4 holidays) is important. If the number of attendees significantly exceeds the survey responses, then there may unfortunately be shortages of food and drink.
With thanks to a grant from the Department of Transport, RAC, WestCycle and WA Bike Month, Poynter Primary School P&C is hosting its first Bike2School Breakfast at Poynter Primary School on Friday 11th of October from 8am to 9am. To promote active travel, students will receive a free light breakfast if they walk, bike or scoot to school (if you live far away from school, feel free to be creative and park further away to promote the active travel). All students are welcome to join us outside in the quadrangle next to the undercover (assembly) area (map below). There will be a selection of pastries, fruit and juice boxes to choose from, and for the grown-ups there will be a coffee van if you would like to purchase something. For those with allergies, we plan to provide frozen fruit cups.
We are also providing a free bike maintenance service for up to 30 students in Year 5 in preparation for their camp trip to Rottnest Island in Year 6. Please complete the survey sent out on Connect and in your Whatsapp groups to reserve your spot. Bike drop off is between 8am and 9am at the undercover area (next to the breakfast) and pick up after school is at 3pm.
Stay tuned for more details including our promotional media (pending approval).
